Ritratti   is a beautiful original pencil drawing on cream-colored paper made by the Italian artist  Ildebrando Urbani  (1901 - 1985) in 1933.

Realized by a skilled hand, this rapid sketch reveals all its beauty in the freshness of the lines, and the sapient touch of the artist.

This modern artwork, representing two male portraits with hat in different scale in a form of rapid sketches, is in very good conditions, except for some yellow stains on the lower left margin. A white cardboard passepartout is included (34 x 49 cm).

On the lower right corner of the back of the sheet, the blue-ink stamp " Arte Storia Collezione Contessa Laetitia Pecci-Blunt ".

On the higher left margin of the  recto , the unreadable title, the  signature  in capital letters, and the year of creation are hand-written in pencil by the author.

Ildebrando Urbani (1901-1985)

The Italian artist Urbani participated in numerous editions of the National Art Quadrennial of Rome from 1931 to 1956 and at the Venice Biennial in 1940 and 1942. He later moved to Madrid where he continued the exhibition activity.
