This is an original illustration (plate n. 29) published in the VIII year.
From a suite of 52 plates titled" Modes et Manières du Jour à Paris à la fin du 18e siècle et au commencement du 19e siècle".

On the top the inscription: Modes &c. N° 29. " ; "Flor. An 8" ;  under the engraved image "Que lui conte-t-il ? / (Chapeau en Coquille..... Large Pantalon de Nankin.)".

Describing the women’s fashion of that time, our specimen is in excellent condition and with vivid colors, except for a light foxing and a slight yellowing of the paper at the edge, due by the time. Including a cardboard passepartout  (cm 25 x 19).

One copy is preserved at the Musée Carnavalet, Histoire de Paris.
