Autograph postcard written by Renato Guttuso to the Countess Anna Laetitia Pecci-Blunt . On the front, there is a black and white reproduction of a Neapolitan breathtaking landscape. On the back, there are three stamps, three postmarks, a brief autograph message of greetings and Guttuso and the Italian poet and cultural organizer Libero de Libero's signatures in blue pencil. From the postmarks, the date and the place of shipment can be read: Naples , May 28th 1938 . Excellent conditions, with usual yellowing of the paper.
Renato Guttuso (Bagheria, Sicily, 1911 – Rome, 1987), the same year of this postcard, 1938, the talented artist realized “Fucilazione in Campagna ”, " Execution by Firing Squad in the Countryside", a painting depicting the violent assassination of the Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca by the fascist militia.
