The artist's weapon - L'arma dell'artista
THE ARTIST'S WEAPON, understood as the ability to transmit universal messages, is his imagination which the artist shows with images created many millennia ago by engraving on the rock as in the famous LASCAUX CAVES in France. Today the simplest tool still used by all artists is the pencil to put on a sheet of paper an image that the artist has SEEN with his mind. But the computer era has allowed us to broaden the boundaries and I too have followed this path when in 1999, 5 years after the invention of my exclusive technique, PHOTO-PAINTING, I developed an evolution of my technique for the 2020 New York exhibition. told in the text FROM THE BRUSH TO THE MOUSE published in the exhibition catalogue. I created the pictorial part by painting with the mouse and thus abandoning the material component of the painting applied with the brush and creating it digitally. I called this technique DIGITAL PROCESSING which eliminated the UNIQUENESS of the work which could thus be reproduced infinitely as with photography. A SOCIAL progress that allowed us to enjoy the beauty of an image resulting from the imagination of an artist at much lower prices. A social goal because the VALUE of a work of art is not in its PRICE IN MONEY, but in the EMOTION IT TRANSMITS to those who look at it!!!
