Paul Haesaerts (1901-1974) was a famous Belgian artist, internationally well known especially as a documentary filmmaker. His documentary film Visit to Picasso (1949) - which shows the great and fertile art and the person of Pablo Picasso - was awarded at the New York Film Festival in 1950 and won the BAFTA award for best documentary next year.
