Firstly published by Éditions Schiffrin in New York. The English translation by John Russell was realized from the author's revised version, published in France by Éditions Gallimard. Printed on the hand-press of the famous Officina Bodoni.

Edition designed by Hans Merdersteig, set on Garamond types. The lithographs of Massimo Campigli have been pulled from stone by Piero Fornasetti.

Copy number 124 of two hundred copies , on Pescia hand-made paper. Protected by tissue paper.
