An interesting Lithograph of the French old master, Auguste Raffet, describes the march of French Artillery during the Siège of Rome (30 Avril1849), with soldiers indicating from far to Siant peter in perspective. The artist assisted and became the illustrator of the Italian campaigns. The artwork is depicted skillfully through confident and strong strokes in a well-balanced composition with perfect hatching. Denis Auguste Marie Raffet (1804 – 1860) was a French old master who specialized in lithograph, inspired by his patriotism: he was the official illustrator of the Napoleonic campaigns, from Egypt to Waterloo.
