Lioness and Hunter

Lioness and Hunter   is the title of a beautiful double-sided sheet with charcoal drawings on pink-colored paper, realized in the 1970s by the German artist  Wilhelm Lorenz , also known as  Willi Lorenz .

This is a study of the head of a lioness (on the recto) and of a hunter (on the verso), both realized with a charcoal pencil and incredible freshness of lines, paying great attention to the anatomy of the feline.

This modern artwork is in very good conditions, except for some little folds and a little rip on the lower right corner of the sheet.

Give a touch of wildness and exoticism to your home decor with this beautiful drawing of a feline! Explore many other artworks of wild animals online  on Wallector.com!

Wilhelm (Willi) Lorenz  (Germany, 1901–1981)

Wilhelm Lorenz, also known as Willi Lorenz, was a German painter specialized in paintings of animals typically hunted as a game. His highly detailed oil paintings evoke the texture and movement of animals like boars, foxes, buffalos, and lions, depicted in their natural habitats and attitudes. His artworks resemble the works by Max Josef Hänger Lorenz. Willi Lorenz attended the Düsseldorf Academy of Art before moving to Cologne to start his artistic career.
