"Les Archéologues IV"  is an original hand-signed and numbered lithograph realized by  Giorgio de Chirico  in 1929 on vélin filigrané Arches. It is an edition of 100 prints. It comes from the artist's series “ Métamorphoses ”. It presents beards but very good conditions overall.

The widely renowned precursor of Surrealism was the Italian painter  Giorgio de Chirico  (1888-1978).  De Chirico’s definitely ambiguous artworks of cityscapes are the most celebrated examples of a movement called  Pittura Metafisica , or Metaphysical Painting.
