Hussars of the Royal Guard  is a lithograph by  Antonio Zezon . Naples 1852.

Interesting colored lithograph which describes some members of the Real Guard: a sub-officer in daily dress and an Individual ready to march.

Original Lithograph, in excellent condition, made in the XIX Century, belonging to one of the most famous lithographic collections of the artist:  The uniforms of the Boubon army and navy.

On the bottom of the lithograph you find the titlt of the work " USSARI DELLA G.A R.LE ",  alongside with the roles of the figures illustrated in it "Individuo in tenuta di rotta - Sotto ufficiale in tenuta giornaliera ", the place and date to which it belongs "Napoli, 1852", finally also the author of the lithograph " A. Zezon Lit. " and the draftsman " G. Pino Dis. " and the Painter " L. Deluise Dip. " from whom it was taken.

Antonio Zezon (1803-1881): After a working period at the Ministry of War, he devoted himself to lithography and publishing. Little is know about his activity as a painter. In 1830 he partecipated in one of the exhibitions of the Royal Bourbon Museum with a view of the courtyard of the church of Santa Chiara. He is remembered as a lithographer for: The biographical and lithographic collection of the most illustrious men of every age and nation, dedicated to the Prince of Salerno (Naples 1835); The History of the Kingdom of Naples from the foundation of the Monarchy to the XIX century (1839); The Pictorial Museum of Pictures of the Royal Galleries of Europe (1840). Between 1850 and 1856, he created a work sold in installments on The uniforms of the Bourbon army and navy . It had the lithographic plant in the Royal Palace in Naples.
