Autograph Letter of Greetings by M. Jacob

An Autograph Letter Signed by Max Jacob is accompanied by a beautiful b/w photographic portrait (cm 11 x 14) of the French artist and writer. This composition, in perfect condition, is mounted under passepartout, plexiglass, and gilded frame (cm 40.5 x 2 x 54.5).

The Autographis addressed to the Countess Anna Laetitia Pecci-Blunt. Paris, 55th Nollet Street. 20th June 1933. One page, single-sided (27 x 21 cm) on watermark paper “Paper made in Docelles”. In French. Excellent condition, except usual folds of paper.

The French poet, Max Jacob (1876-1944), writes this apology letter because he decines and misses the invitation “à la Sérenade”, a music night or musical events organized at the Countess’ Parisian residence. And with this words Max Jacob closes his manuscript: “J’ai comme toujours un grand désir de vous voir”.
