This beautiful print belongs to  the portfolio ' Le Bonheur du Jour ', realized between 1920 - 1924. The plate represents a beautiful outdoor scene: the theme is the end of a party; outside of a house some dressed-up people are waiting to leave the party.

Illustrator and designer George Barbier  (1882–1932)  was one of the most influential figures of the Art Deco period in France. Beginning in 1912, Barbier regularly worked on designs for fashion magazines such as Journal des Dames et des Modes and Gazette du Bon Ton . He also worked for the theater and cinema, designing the costumes worn by Rudolph Valentino in the 1924 Hollywood film Monsieur
Beaucaire .
