From a portfolio of seven etchings published by The New Sheet under the supervision of Hans Richer, who signed for each " bon à tirer " before his death, which took place in Locarno on 1 February 1976. Due to the disappearance of the master, the engravings were subsequently signed by Mrs. Frida Richter , who had followed the work together with her husband.
Hans Richter (Berlin 1888.1976) was a German director, painter and writer. Director, film theorist and one of the greatest experimenters of cinematic aesthetics. Starting from pictorial experiences of abstract orientation, he dedicated his research from the beginning to the need to articulate the figurative space in a movement that went beyond the limits of the traditional framework.
