The artwork represents the celebration of Filippo Corridoni, an Italian soldier and journalist. 

On the piece of paper glued on the back there is written:

"roma 24 ottobre Il Duce esalta nella sua terra Filippo Corridoni, Soldato e Tribuno. Mussolini e la Madre di Corridoni sull'arengo ai piedi del monumento."
