Bruno Saetti (Bologna, 1902 - Bologna, 1984) was a popular Italian painter and engraver. Painter of sensual female nudes, maternity and landscapes, but also of symbolic figures, Saetti refuses the avant-gardes languages and attests to an Expressionist realism supported by a strict compositional rigor. He held an anthological exhibition in Venice in 1975 and in Florence in 1979. His works appear both in Italian museums (including the Novecento Museum and the MAMbo in Bologna) and abroad (Amsterdam, Madrid, Warsaw, Zagreb, Zurich, Tokyo) and are the subject of important exhibitions.
