Otto Dixwas a German painter and printmaker, famoux during WWII for depicting the Weimar Society, and the awful truth of the period. He is considered one of the most important artists of the Neue Sachlichkeit. To illustrate his work, he said once in 1927 that "The object is primary and the form is shaped by the object".
