The artwork represents a figurative composition with sketches by the author of human heads and architectural elements. One of the constant elements of Fritz Wotruba's work is, indeed, an interest in the human figure and the strong architectural value of his plastic creations.

Fritz Wotruba  (Vienna, 1907 – 1975) was an Austrian sculptor of Czecho-Hungarian descent. He was considered one of the most notable sculptors of the 20th century in Austria. In his work, he increasingly dissolves figurative components in favor of geometrical abstraction.
