Browne Hablot Knight , alias   Phiz , (Kensinghton 1815 - Brighton 1892)

English painter, watercolorist and engraver was the illustrator of the humorious Charles Dickens's stories. Phiz was above all friend and collaborator of the famous writer. His remarkable work of illlustrator brought him a medal by the Arts Society in 1832, and by the Royal Academy in 1878.
