The work is a satirical scene depicting the allegorical figure in the center representing the city of Rome invaded by French troops. On the right, the allegorical figure of peace turns towards her, giving her an olive branch. On the left, instead, like devils, the invaders run away. The stroke is extremely refined and delicate.
