The Red Host

The Red Host  is an original colored lithograph from the portfolio " Erotica"  by  Egon Schiele.

It deals with a reproduction of the homonym artwork realized in watercolor and pencil by the Austrian artist in 1911.  Edition of 1200 copies , printed by Marinoni-Voirin, and published by Editions Anthèse, Paris, 2007.

In perfect conditions: as good as new.

Today, the original drawing is preserved in a private collection (Courtesy, Galerie St. Etienne, New York).

This wonderful and colorful print is signed on plate on the lower right margin with the year of creation in a cartouche and hand-titled on plate and on the lower right margin in a cartouche too. 

Erotica  is a portfolio including 20 lithographs on cardboard, representing original erotic drawings realized by the Austrian master between 1910-1918.
