Sleeping Nymph
Sleeping Nymph is a splendid original etching on cream-colored paper, realized by Anne Claude Philippe de Tubières, count of Caylus (1692-1765) in the XVIII century, after a drawing by Tiziano .
A superb original print representing a sleeping nymph in a wood, on her right a satyr kidnaps a woman, with a sure and rapid line, an excellent inking and lifetime impression.
Signed on plate: " Titien In. / Cab. du Roy / Cy Sculp. ". Numbered on plate on the higher right corner.
In very good conditions, except for a light foxing on the margins, this is a magic old master's print to collect!
