Robert Motherwell

Robert Motherwell, (USA, 1915 - 1991) was an American painter, one of the founders and principal exponents of Abstract Expressionism. He was one of the founders of the New York School, together with Philip Guston, Willem de Kooning, Jackson Pollock, and Mark Rothko. Motherwell's artworks move from one medium to another, from paintings and prints to sketches, collages, and drawings.
