A painting with this subject is currently preserved at the Burghley House and the art historian, expert of Maratta, Stella Rudolph attributed it to A. Procaccini, one of the best pupils of Carlo Maratta.

Wonderful oil painting attributed to Andrea Procaccini (Rome, 1671 - La Granja, 1734), representing the religious episode of the prayer in the garden. The artwork has been attributed to Andrea Procaccini for its great technical quality and for its stylistic and compositional affinities. This Prayer in the Garden is similar to the prototype realized by Carlo Maratta , now lost, but known thanks to an engraving by Robert van Audenaerd . Another version has passed through the antique market of Copenhagen with the attribution to the artist.
