Piper   is an original colored drawing on paper glued on cardboard (25.6 x 18.8 cm), realized by Louis Touchagues  in the 1970s .

Hand-signed by the artist on the lower right corner.

On the lower left is annotated: " Monsieur de la santé du roi, Flûte Dessin animé ". Stamp of Atelier Touchagues on cardboard on the lower left corner.

Louis Touchagues (1893-1974) arrived in Paris in 1923, and traced with the point of his pencil or brush half a century of Parisian life. Designer - Illustrator: drawings for fabrics and silks were noticed by Paul Poiret. He collaborated with various illustrated papers ( The Living Art , New literary , etc.) and satirical journals ( Crapouillot , Le Charivari , etc.). Parliamentary draftsman, he was delegated by the Fine Arts as a draftsman at the first Peace Conference as well as the arrival of General de Gaulle in Paris. He illustrated many books of Colette, S. Guitry, Mr. Achard, Mr. Ayme, and G. Duhamel. His three albums  Women and models , Parisian and Waves in St. Tropez reflect his favorite subject: women.
