Born Charles Laborde is a French writer, journalist, engraver, and illustrator.
He contributed to many newspapers of his time, such as The Laugh (including The Red Laughter) ,
The Butter Plate, The Smile, The Bayonet, The Gazette of Bon Ton, Comœdia, Der Querschnitt, Vogue, Vanity Fair, The Chronicle of the Month, Paris Toujours, The French Courrier, Le Crapouillot, Le Figaro, Paris-Midi, Paris-Soir .
Besides being a prolific illustrator , over 60 referenced books, he has also produced advertising, drawings and theater sets.
