The composition represents a butterfly on a background with oriental and very lively strokes of color.
The work was realized by Luigi Dragoni (Cremona, 1932), an Italian painter and engraver. He trained in Brera under Aldo Carpi, after having attended the Polytechnic for a year, he studied engraving with Benvenuto Disertori. He held his first personal exhibition in 1961 at the Saletta dei Giovani at the Permanente in Milan. In 1965, he exhibited at the Oesterreichisches Kulturzentrum in Wien. Still in 1970, he set up an exhibition in the Austrian capital, at the Oesterreichisches Staatsdruckerei. The last relevant exhibition was organized in 1999 at the Chiesa della Maddalena in Bergamo.
