Nonnenwerth is a lithograph of an original artwork by the German painter and lithographer Markus Eberhard Emminger , who lived from 1808 to 1885, representing a view of the island Nonnenwerth, near Bad Honnef on the Rhine river part of the city of Remangen.

The inscriptions on the lower margin of the paper report: the title on the lower center, and then, right above from right to left, the indications Rolandseck , the neighborhood of the city, Drachenfels , the rock from which the view is seen, and the name of the place Nonnenwerth . Above, on the lower margin of the image: E. Emminger on the left, and Stich u. Druk d. Kunst Anst d. Oestrr. Lloyd in Tries. A. Fesca s.c . on the right.

The state of preservation of the artwork is good, with fungal foxing spread on the margins and some small blanks of the paper on the higher edge.

This original artwork is pleasant for its precise and delicate hatching, the quality of the engraving, the beautiful and romantic landscape with mountains, the river cut through by boats and sailing ships, and the representation of the famous and ancient Benedictine monastery situated on the island.
