The state of preservation is very good, except for some stains of fungal foxing and dirt, especially in the central part of the artwork. The upper right corner is torn, whilst the upper left corner presents a small fold. On the lower right, there is the inscription “ A l’ami Hayot / G. Sartan / 1886 ”.
