Precious etching on ivory paper depicting a very elegant female figure with a mantle that is watching the observer. The standing figure is elegantly dressed and she wears a feathered headdress and a long dark dress.

This work has been realized by the French artist  André-Charles Coppier (Annecy, 1867 - Talloires, 1948). He has been  a French painter, engraver, medalist and Art Historian. In 1881, he entered at the National School of Bridges and Roads, he worked at the municipal museum and then he went to Paris in the studio of Augustin Feyen-Perrin. He also trained in the major museums of the capital. André-Charles Coppier is known for its art historian books on Rembrandt and other artists of the XVII Century. Coppier is also the author of several other works, including the catalogue raisonné of the engraved works of Albert Besnard.  Because of its vast erudition, he cultivated during his many travels and making it an eminent personalities in the history of the art of the early XX Century, his work is often misunderstood and sometimes even forgotten.
