Marilù Eustachio (Merano, 1934)

Despite having chosen painting as a privileged means of expression, Marilù Eustachio has always created works that seek to bring together a double vocation: the literary one and the one related to the figurative arts. Her notebooks, for example, made from childhood, are conceived as a process that allows " making a book by hand, which can be enriched with images and writings, with notes and transcriptions ". According to the art historian Peter Weiermair, Susan Sontag defined Eustachio's work as " a gathering, accumulating, building and leaving traces ". Marilù Eustachio also experimented with photography, and in this case she focused on still lifes and found objects. Her works are present in the collections of the Galleria Civica of Modena and the Museion of Bolzano.
