Elena Mardashova

My name is Elena Mardashova (42).  I’m an Ukrainian artist, currently located in Norway.
My home city is Odessa, which gave me lots of opportunity to admire the beauty of the Black Sea, parks, flowers and old architecture. Basically, all charm that a south city can suggest. 
Being inspired with the local nature, I found my way to impress it through art in oil on canvases – like pictorial landscapes. 
For me it was not a thoughtless copy of an object, but attempts to capture life in it, conveying it to a viewer. 
I found pristine pleasure in transferring images on canvases, from still life to landscapes. 
I started as an amateur. Luckily, I come across our incredibly gifted and famous Ukrainian artist – Harrold Izmailovsky, who led me through difficulties of study, enriching my visual approach with an unorthodox skills and ideas. 
I had an opportunity to work with other people of art, artists, experts, and mentors.  
My admiration and love for impressionism influenced my development in art in general. 
In the modern world, I hardly chase fame, yet simply do what I love.
