With a red ink stamp on lower margin with the monogram " V."  and  "Vente Giraud".

This superb original drawing is composed of five different sketches, each one with an artistic and autonomous dignity: five persons are represented in different poses and clothes. From left to right, a male portrait of a gendarme, a standing man with crossed arms, two sitting women of profile and a frontal standing man just outlined.

In very good condition, except for minor defects and signs of the time.  the original sheet with the wonderful sketches is glued on a cardboard passe-partout.

This is a really interesting caricatural artwork, in addition, to be a social study that portrays the world of the half of XIX century, an artwork only for connaisseurs!
