Cover in parchment, partially unglued, with 2 nervs.

Includes many nice illustrations on xylograph inside the texts, reproducing human bodies and faces, and animals.

Della Porta was a pioneer of physiognomy in XVI century, exploring the analogies between the various human types and their animal counterparts; this is maybe his most important work on this topic.
