Cupid Statue
Cupid Statue is an original pencil and watercolor drawing on thick cream-colored paper, realized by The French artist Auguste Leroux ( Paris 1871-1954) painter and illustrator.
Monogrammed in brown watercolor on lower right corner "G.B.".
This original drawing is in a black ink frame, representing a statue of cupid as a celebration of Love, reveals a skilled and trained hand. On the back a charcoal sketch representing female nudes with angels and cupid, perhaps a preparatory study.
A pleasant modern artwork, in very good conditions, except for some graphite stains and dust on the sheet and a diffused foxing.
