Costume di Castellone

Costume di Castellone is an original watercolour on ivory-colored paper made  by the old master  Michela De Vito in 1820 ca.

Hand-titled " Costume di Castellone ", with an autograph caption in black ink saying " Provincia Terra di Lavoro nel Regno di Napoli " on the lower margin at the center.  Good conditions with some foxing and some light stains on margins.

This beautiful artwork depicts a man in a typical costume of Castellone: striped trousers, brown slippers, loose cap, holding a fish from its gills.
