Auguste Roubille worked as cartoonist for the French Courrier and Temps nouvelles . At the same time, he exhibited his watercolors and gouaches at the Salon des Independants, al Salon d'Automne, and Salon des Comicistes. He collaborated with many humorous newspapers, like Le Rire , Le Sourire , The Cry of Paris , Cocorico , The Bayonet , The Wild Duck and Fantasio . He worked as poster designer and decorator, designing installations and furniture. He illustrated famous books of French literature.
