Chinese Old Farming is an original modern rare book realized in the  1930s  by   an anonymous Chinese artist.

This very precious book has a cloth cover and harmonica-type pages of parchment. Wooden cover band made of bamboo with stamped Chinese character ("blessing of agriculture") on the front.

Includes ten mounted colored and watercolored boards on bamboo grass paper mounted in silk frames.

The illustration shows the ten stages of traditional rice cultivation in charming colored boards: soil preparation, sowing, fertilizing, planting, irrigation, cultivation, harvesting, threshing, sorting and storage. The explanatory text is in English and Chinese.
