Nino Terziari  (Imola, 1929) conducted his first painting studies in Bologna, then in Paris and Stuttgart; from 1950 to 1958, he lived and worked abroad, especially in Germany and Switzerland, countries where he began his exhibition activity. Terziari was introduced to the public for the first time in a solo exhibition in Zurich (Galerie Kircgasse, 1-15 July 1958), displaying a series of material - informal works. In this first phase, he was above all interested in experimenting with the emotional aspects of color and matter on the basis of what was proposed in the same years in Europe and in the German-speaking countries (Paul Meissner, Karl Anton Wolf). This first production gave him some success with critics, especially in Germany.
