Autograph Postcard by Barilli

Autograph Postcard Signed by Bruno Barilli to the Countess A.L. Pecci Blunt ,

Budapest, August 7th, 1942. In Italian. Excellent conditions.

Curious greeting postcard that describes Barilli's mood in front of the emptiness of a music sheet: " I think about it, I think about it so hard. "

Written fro Budapest, probably during several trips as a correspondent for the newspapers  La Ronda  (which he founded) and  Oggi  of Arigo Benedetti, he had to find some time to compose music promised to the Countess, but it never saw the light.

Bruno Barilli  (Fano, 1880 - Rome, 1952)

Italian writer and musician, Bruno Barilli was one of the founders of  La Ronda ; collaborator and music critic of numerous newspapers and magazines such as  La Concordia, Il Tempo, Corriere italiano, Il Tevere, Gazzetta del Popolo; Liberal Risorgimento; Unity.  The writing, the reports of concerts, travels and operas will lead Barilli to compose theatrical and chamber music, as this postcard demonstrates.
