Aurelio Bulzatti Artist

Bulzatti was born in Argenta (FE) in 1954, attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna in the 70s, then moved to Rome where he came into contact with the artists of Plinio De Martiis's La Tartaruga gallery. The first solo show at Tartaruga was in 1983, followed by others in '84 and '87. In those years, the return to painting, the interest in the evoked image and the study of traditional painting techniques were experimented and theorized. In 1984 he was invited to the XLI Venice Biennale, Aperto 84, and with two personal exhibitions, 1991 and 1995, he collaborated with the Netta Vespignani gallery in Rome. In 2003 he exhibited at Francesco Moschini at A.A.M. and collaborated in those years with Ludovico Pratesi's Futuro association, Fabio Sargentini's l'Attico cultural association and Liliana Maniero's gallery. He participated in two Quadrennials at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, 1986 and 1996. In 2005 he held a retrospective at the Galleria Comunale di Ciampino, Rome, with over 40 works, and in 2007 he participated in Arte Italiana 1968-2007 at the Palazzo Reale in Milan. , in the same year he organized a second solo exhibition at the A.A.M. gallery. by Francesco Moschini. In 2008 a second retrospective entitled Passaggi 1982-2008 was organized by the municipality of Argenta (Ferrara) at the Mercato Cultural Centre. He participated in the LIV Venice Biennale Italian Pavilion in 2010 and in 2012 he exhibited at the Porta Latina gallery, in 2013 at the Baccina gallery and in 20014 at the Le Muse Cultural Center in Andria. He exhibited in 2013 at the Macro Arte in Rome 1960-200 and finally at the MAXXI 2014 at the Partorire con Arte l'Arte di partirire conference.
