Mario Persico (1930 – 2022). He was among the signatories, in 1955, of the Nuclear Art manifesto, together with exponents such as Enrico Baj and Sergio Dangelo, while three years later he participated in the foundation of Gruppo 58 (an expression of Neapolitan nuclear painting, which progressively takes on increasingly dada and surrealists), with Guido Biasi, LUCA Luigi Castellano, Franco Palumbo, Mario Colucci and Lucio Del Pezzo. Known for his dysmorphic and monstrous pictorial subjects, his areas of research include sculpture, practicable objects, theater and eroticism. He has exhibited in public and private venues in Italy and abroad, such as Galleria Schwarz in Milan, Galleria Sherman in Chicago, Studio Inquadrature 33 in Florence, Castel dell'Ovo and Madre in Naples.
