Johanna Winkelgrund was born 1969 in Cottbus, GDR. She´s a German painter and graphic artist.
From 1992 to 1999 she studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig at Prof. Arno Rink.
1999 she received the sponsorship award from the German banking institute Sparkasse Spree Neisse
2000-2002 she was a master student at Prof. Rolf Kuhrt and has been working freelance since then.
She founded the artist group Puls in 2005 with Jessica Sommer and Stefan Bock and realized several joint exhibitions together
So far has had many solo exhibitions in Germany and a few joint exhibitions in the Netherlands.
Some works are in public ownership.
On a scholarship from the Art Assotiation Werkstatt Plettenberg,
she moved to the Sauerland in 2003 and has lived and worked there ever since.
