Simone Racheli: Born in 1966 in Florence. He lives and works in Parma.
His research focuses on the design and creation of sculptures with extraordinary imitative and mimetic qualities with reality. The staging of a theater of absurd objects, completely invented, contaminated by different languages, has acquired complexity and narrative capacity.
His works revolve around the relationship between man-science, body-object, with a look at our society which considers flesh-matter as a creative, regenerative material, autonomous from the soul. All to represent the obsession with the body and its materiality, continually highlighted by the mass media. Autonomous everyday objects, because they are made of flesh like animals, reduced to their functionality, to their common sense, emptied of any symbolic reference.
