Gastone Breddo (1915-1991) was the son of a goldsmith and engraver, he was encouraged by his father to study the fine arts. In the years 1949-1950, he participated in the establishment of the important Verzocchi collection, on the theme of work, sending, with a self-portrait , the cobbler; today the Collection is conserved in the Pinacoteca Civica of Forlì. In 1953 he competed with the work Composition for the VII Michetti Prize, winning the purchase prize by the Cariplo Foundation.
