Maryam Pezeshki was born in Iran on 08/18/1977. She immediately follows her artistic vocation in sculpture and painting.
After graduating and majoring in art, she works as a lecturer at the Tehran Academy of Fine Arts.
In 2005 she began the academic study of sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. She graduated with a three-year degree, specializing in the following two years in scenography and theatrical sculpture.
At the same time she studied theater and created sets for operas in Verona, Milan and Naples. She participates in several international exhibitions, in Asian and European countries.
"My art tells the battles lived between two opposite poles: "tradition and progressivism". It is an expression oriented by the unconscious, without filters and prejudices. A sort of clandestine artistic path, undertaken in a country where, by law of the sharia, the
sculptural and pictorial representation of the human body is considered a sacrilege."
