Black and white etching, burnished aquatint, drypoint and burin.
Titled on plate at the bottom and the number of plate at the top right.
The artwork is the forty-fourth plate from Los Caprichos, series of 80 plates published for the first time by Goya himself in 1799, and published in a total of 12 editions.
Excellent proof in the third state out of 3, common to all editorial impressions, printed in brown on thick white paper not laid out.
Specimen with sheet of reduced dimensions that prevent it from being identified with one of the editions recorded by Harris after the bevel of the plate.
Thick paper compatible with that of the 4th or 6th edition.
