Jacques Faizant , born on 1918 in Laroquebrou ( Cantal ) and died on  2006 in Suresnes , is a French press cartoonist , famous editorial writer for Le Figaro , contributor to various press media such as Carrefour , La Vie catholique , Bonjour dimanche , La Voix du Nord , Le Dauphiné Libéré , Les Derniers Nouvelles d'Alsace , Jours de France , Paris Match and Le Point.                                                                                                                                                               From the 1960 , he became a political cartoonist in the French daily Le Figaro , whose graphics soon became one of the emblems. Forty years later (1999), he was relegated to the inside pages of the newspaper, before being definitively removed from the daily on 2005, on the occasion of a change of formula and format.
