Details

A refined and highly collectible mid-century modern bar cart designed by Cesare Lacca and produced by Cassina in Italy during the 1950s.

This elegant trolley exemplifies Lacca’s signature balance of lightness, functionality, and sculptural form, combining warm-toned wood with glass and brass accents. The rectangular frame is crafted in finely finished solid wood, with softly rounded corners and integrated looped handles, lending both visual fluidity and practical ease of movement.

The cart features two glass tiers, providing ample surface for serving and display, while maintaining an open, airy aesthetic. A distinctive and charming detail is the integrated bottle holder / magazine rack to one side, formed in brass and wood, highlighting the designer’s attention to both utility and refined craftsmanship.

Raised on four brass-mounted castors, the piece is fully mobile, embodying the sophistication and convivial spirit of post-war Italian design.

Very good condition.
