Lithograph on smooth wove paper, 1950.

Hand signed lower left.

Excellent condition.

Realized in February 1950, this work is self-explanatory: in the center we find a transparent dodecahedron merged with a glass sphere. symbol of order; all around broken or crumpled objects, representation of disorder.

An enigmatic and highly stylized proof of Escher's technical skills, master of paradoxes and illusions.
