A Nude Odalisque is a precious painting realized by Giovanni Costa (Livorno 1833 – Firenze 1893) in 1858.

Oil on canvas.

Hand-signed in red on the upper left part of the picture: G. Costa.

In a wide gilded glazed frame.

Very good conditions.

Exceptional exotic artwork representing a reclining semi-nude odalisque, a concubine of the Ottoman sultan. The beautiful woman has dark hair tied up, and she wears a gold headpiece and hoop earrings.
She is on her bed, intoxicated by a hookah standing next to her. However, she does not try to hide her lascivious charm.
